ROUND CARPET: FURNISH YOUR HOME IN STYLE
Round or circular carpet? Call it what you like, one thing is certain: everyone wants one! If you too are attracted by it or are looking for one, take a look at our selection of round rugs at the best prices!
A round rug offers endless possibilities: it can be combined with both modern and more classic furnishing styles, giving a sense of harmony that only curved lines can create.
Harmony is perhaps the most important attribute to keep in mind when it comes to round rugs, because it helps us to understand, first of all, in which rooms of the house they may be most suitable to use.
The living room, bedroom and bathroom are usually the rooms that most suggest relaxation and serenity, and it is precisely in these spaces that round carpets find their ideal place, so to speak, their habitat.
Don't forget: a carpet is a real piece of furniture!
Decorating means (literally) "taking care" of something, i.e. keeping a space in the best possible condition, bringing out its potential, making it aesthetically beautiful and welcoming. For example, if we decorate the walls with the use of furnishings such as pictures, shelves and decorations, why not do the same with the floors? You can do this by choosing carpets with an unusual shape (or form), or modern carpets with a sophisticated design.
The important thing is to be able to match them with the rest of the furnishings without overdoing it (less is more) and choose the right size (no carpets that are too small to give the impression of having been placed there by chance or carpets that are too large to distract attention from everything else). Depending on the room you decide to furnish with the help of one or more round carpets, you will need to evaluate the most suitable material. The round carpet that you are going to put in the bathroom, for example, will have to have specific characteristics that a scatter rug does not have to have, such as absorbency and high non-slip power. A round rug for the living room, on the other hand, which has a highly decorative purpose, may also not have a non-slip backing, and so on.
Round carpets for the bedroom
In its original function in the bedroom, the carpet (commonly referred to as a bedside rug) is a comfortable place to rest when you wake up, when you get out of bed and just want a nice cup of coffee and certainly not to come into direct contact with the cold floor. However, while maintaining this function from a practical point of view, in today's modern bedroom the carpet is also an important furnishing element.
Considering that sets of 3 identical and matching carpets have not been a trend for several years now (we put this in writing!) if you like the idea of furnishing in an original way, you could opt for two small round bedside rugs, even in different patterns or colours (as long as they match). In this room your rug should be simply beautiful, soft and cosy.
.Round bathroom carpet
As mentioned above, in the bathroom, the carpet has first and foremost a functional function: on the one hand, it serves to protect the floor from water (by absorbing it between its fibres) and on the other hand, to provide you with a cosy and, above all, safe place to stand when exiting the shower.
In this room, you should choose, at least ideally, an absorbent, non-slip, frequently washable and quick-drying material.
Round living room rug
The living room usually contains a sofa, armchairs and a coffee table; it is the place for relaxing, but also for conversation and sharing with guests. In this room, the round rug has a purely decorative function: if it is large, it helps to complete the furnishings and to define and delimit the conversation area at the foot of the seats; if it is small (ideal especially in the case of small rooms), it helps to give a touch of originality without weighing down or making the room seem even narrower.
A nice idea that also gives you a practical side-effect is to use a circular mat as a protective base underneath planted pots or other heavy decorations resting on your floor, especially if it is a delicate or newly laid floor covering.
